Renowned Kenyan artist Bamzigi is mourning the loss of his father, who had been hospitalized for several weeks. Sharing the heartbreaking news on his social media platforms, Bamzigi expressed his grief:

“R.I.P. to the only man in my life that I loved more than myself and respected more than anyone. He was always there for me, my biggest supporter, inspiration, fan, teacher, friend, hero & most of all my ‘father.’ To Dr. Charles Munio Kariba, a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle & friend.”

Two weeks ago, Bamzigi had informed his followers that his father was in the ICU. In a subsequent update a week ago, he urged those willing to help by getting a blood test, specifically for platelets. He provided contact information for his mother, Jane Kariba, and his sister, Thitu Demabior, for those interested in contributing or spreading the message.

The artist’s heartfelt message reflects the deep love and admiration he had for his late father, who played significant roles in his life as a supporter, inspiration, and mentor. The loss is undoubtedly a profound moment for Bamzigi and his family, and he expressed gratitude for the generosity and support received during this difficult time.
