Controversial city preacher Pastor James Ng’ang’a recently shared a glimpse into his early married life, recounting how he was unexpectedly abandoned by his then “come-we-stay” wife.
In a candid revelation to his congregation, Pastor Ng’ang’a disclosed the unexpected turn of events surrounding his ex-wife’s departure, shedding light on the circumstances that led to the dissolution of their relationship.
“We lived together for six months, and she got pregnant. Then she told me she was going to pick up her clothes, but she never came back. I saw the children when they were fully grown after being informed by her sister,” he narrated.
This disclosure emerged during a sermon addressing the plight of his eldest daughter, Naomi Wangari Maina, who recently sought financial assistance from the public to cover the medical expenses of her six-year-old son, Jonathan Wise, battling a severe case of B-ALL Leukemia.
“I have children. Some respect me and others don’t. I see there is one who is saying I am the father. She has a sick child. She has flooded TikTok with videos, but she has not reached out to me even via a phone call,” Pastor Ng’ang’a remarked.
While the identity of the woman who left Ng’ang’a while pregnant remains unclear, Wangari’s family previously organized fundraisers in 2020 when Jonathan battled Bilateral Retinoblastoma, a rare form of eye cancer diagnosed shortly after his birth on January 20, 2018. Over the course of three years, Jonathan underwent numerous chemotherapy sessions and frequent trips to the operating theatre, illustrating the family’s ongoing struggle and resilience in the face of adversity.
