Police officers from Baringo County arrested a 38-year-old Pastor on allegations of defiling and impregnating a 15-year-old form 2 girl from Kapchepkor sub location Baringo North.
The pastor, identified as Evans Bundotich, serves at AIC Kipkures church.
Bundotich is also accused of facilitating an abortion for the young girl leaving her to develop subsequent health complications.
According to Police, the pastor visited the family on December 24 seeking directions to another homestead.
The pastor requested the grandmother, whom she lives with to allow the girl to show him directions. It was during this act of assistance by the girl when the pastor turned into an animal and defiled her.
According to the grandmother, Pastor Bundotich was fond of visiting their homestead and would donate food items at times during his home visits.
The family reported the girl as missing at Kabartonjo police station on January 09 this year. After a lengthy search by police and members of the community, the girl was finally found on January 30.
After a medical examination, it was revealed that the girl was pregnant. She confessed that pastor Bundotich was responsible.
Pastor Bundotich was subsequently arrested and is currently held at Kabarnet Police Station.
