Wiper Leader Kalonzo Musyoka clarified on Sunday, March 10, that despite the recent truce between the opposition and President William Ruto, he would not be part of Ruto’s government.

In an interview on Inooro TV, Kalonzo dismissed reports of a National Dialogue Committee (NADCO) handshake government.

He emphasized that NADCO had prepared a framework for stability but did not imply the opposition’s interest in joining the government.

“There is no NADCO government because there is a lot to be done. Without that, there can be no working together,” Kalonzo explained.

“I do not want to be in the government. I am ready to be in the opposition to fight for Kenyans,” he said.

He emphasized that he had prepared the NADCO report and, if Raila and Ruto don’t oversee its implementation, he won’t bear the blame.

“I have given them the NADCO report and if they (Raila and Ruto) destroy it, it is up to them,” he explained.

Kalonzo reiterated his stance that subjecting the 8 Bills created by the NADCO committee to public participation was unnecessary. He argued that the Bills originated from proposals by Kenyans, making a second public participation redundant.
