Red Bull Dance Your Style, the world’s largest urban street dance competition, returns to Kenya for its fifth edition, promising exhilarating battles and electrifying performances.

This renowned dance competition will traverse various regions across Kenya, scouting for the most exceptional dancers who will compete for the coveted title of Kenya’s ultimate champion.

Red Bull Dance Your Style is celebrated for its unique format, where the audience plays a pivotal role in determining the winner. Dancers showcase their creativity, freestyle prowess, and musicality in front of a live audience, with all urban dance styles welcomed except for breakdancing—the sole unbreakable rule.

Each battle unfolds to the beats of unpredictable music, challenging dancers to adapt, express their individual styles, and captivate the crowd. After every exhilarating showdown, spectators hold up blue or red placards to cast their votes, ultimately crowning the champion and securing a spot in the world final.

The journey doesn’t end there. The national champion will proudly represent Kenya at the world finals in Mumbai, India, slated for November 9th, with the winner enjoying an all-expenses-paid trip to showcase their talent on the global stage.

The 2024 edition of Dance Your Style Competition promises to make its mark across Kenya, making stops at two universities and major cities, including Eldoret, Kisumu, Mombasa, and Nairobi.

Renowned international Red Bull dancer and world champion, Stalamuerte from Switzerland, graced the official launch of Red Bull Dance Your Style 2024 edition in Kenya over the past weekend. Expressing his excitement about his first visit to Africa, Stala emphasized the importance of confidence and self-belief among Kenyan dancers.

During an interactive dance workshop attended by various dance enthusiasts and groups, including Art In Motion, Stalamuerte imparted invaluable advice, urging dancers to embrace confidence and remain true to their artistry.

Mark your calendars for the qualifiers, scheduled as follows:

  • Eldoret: April 13
  • Kisumu: April 27
  • Kenyatta University: May 11
  • Mombasa: May 25
  • USIU: June 15
  • Nairobi: June 29

The journey culminates in the highly anticipated National Finals on July 13th, where Kenya’s dance elite will vie for the title of Red Bull Dance Your Style champion.
