A family in Kirima village, Ngaru location, Kirinyaga County, is grappling with the tragic and mysterious death of their 26-year-old daughter, Lisper Ng’endo, who is believed to have been murdered by her boyfriend.
Ng’endo’s body was discovered in Kajiado, four days after she traveled to Nairobi to visit her boyfriend, according to her father, James Munene.
The heartbreaking news was first relayed to the family by Munene’s sister-in-law, Rose Njeri, who lives in Nairobi.
Ng’endo’s sister, Caroline Wandia, recounted that on Saturday, February 1, 2025, Lisper left the Kerugoya matatu stage at around 4 p.m. after receiving a call from her boyfriend. “I stayed in contact with her until she arrived at his place around 8 p.m. That was the last time we spoke—after that, her phone went off,” Wandia said.
The family had known the boyfriend well, as he had visited their home in Kirima multiple times, and Lisper had also traveled to meet his family in Kericho.
According to Munene, the suspect allegedly confessed to the murder during a conversation with his sister-in-law on Wednesday, February 5, before going into hiding.
“I couldn’t believe it when I saw my daughter’s body at the city mortuary, covered in severe injuries. I want him arrested—he fled after telling my sister-in-law about the murder,” Munene stated.
Authorities have launched a manhunt for the suspect as investigations continue.
