Detectives are on the hunt for a two-member gang responsible for the fatal stabbing of an 18-year-old man during a robbery in Nairobi’s Kayole area.

The Sunday night attack, which occurred in the Muthaiga Dumpsite area, also left another man seriously injured, according to police and witnesses.

The deceased, identified as Clinton Otieno, 18, sustained fatal injuries to the head and chest. Police reported that the attackers used a knife and a needle-like object to assault their victims.

Authorities confirmed that the injured man was rushed to a local hospital, where he remains in serious condition.

Police have identified two known suspects linked to the crime and are actively pursuing them. Reports indicate that the victims resisted the robbery, prompting the attackers to resort to violence.

According to witnesses, the gang had been terrorizing pedestrians in the area when they confronted the victims.

The body of the deceased was transferred to Mama Lucy Kibaki Hospital Mortuary for an autopsy as investigations continue.
