Super Metro Sacco has urged the public to remain calm as police investigate the circumstances surrounding an accident involving one of their buses on Thika Road on Saturday morning.

The Sacco confirmed that one of their buses, registration number KDL 360F, was involved in an incident near the Jomoko area after swerving to avoid a collision with a saloon car. Fortunately, no injuries or casualties were reported.

“Preliminary information indicates that the accident was caused by a white saloon car, which was reportedly overloaded with jerrycans of Muratina and was swerving carelessly across the road, as observed by multiple drivers in the vicinity,” the company stated.

“The saloon car collided with the side of the Super Metro bus, forcing the bus driver to take evasive action. Unfortunately, while attempting to avoid further collision, the bus veered off the road and landed in a ditch.”

Super Metro assured passengers and the public that the matter is being handled by police from Thika Police Station, who are conducting further investigations into the incident.
