Tragedy in Kakamega as two children drown in pond

Two children have lost their lives after drowning in a pond in Kakamega County.

The tragic incident occurred in the Lake Basin area of Manyonyi Ward, Lugari Constituency, prompting police to launch an investigation.

Reports indicate that the victims were a five-year-old and an eleven-year-old. Authorities have yet to establish the circumstances leading to the drowning.

The bodies of the deceased have been transported to a nearby mortuary as investigations continue.
