The management at Standard Group has unearthed a shocking scandal involving a number of top bosses who have been siphoning millions of shillings paid by advertisers only to end up in their pockets.

An audit is currently being done to determine how much the company has lost but four senior employees including two very senior editors and senior staff from the sales department have been sent packing.

Those in the know say the two editors colluded with staff from the sales department and created a private company whose name was almost identical to one of the firms that receives money from advertisers on behalf of Standard.

Staff from the sales department who were part of the scam then hoodwinked advertisers to deposit money that was supposed to be paid to Standard Group to this new private company.

The editors; one from KTN and the other from editorial section then ensured that the advertisements whose money had been paid to the private company got aired on TV or published in the newspaper.

It is said that the scam had ran for some time before it was finally discovered in December last year forcing the company to act on those who were involved by firing them on the spot.
