Kenya Sevens, popularly known as Shujaa, have booked their spot in the Singapore Sevens Cup Final after a thrilling 12-5 win over Spain in the semi-final clash.
Shujaa came out guns blazing, with Patrick Odongo drawing first blood in the opening minute. Nygel Amaitsa slotted in the conversion to hand Kenya a 7-0 lead early on. Odongo wasn’t done yet—he dotted down again in the 8th minute, giving Kenya a solid 12-0 advantage at halftime.
Spain pulled one back in the 13th minute, making it 12-5, and turned the final moments into a tense affair. But just after the hooter, Jone Kubu coolly kicked the ball into touch to seal the win and send the boys to the final!
Shujaa will face Fiji in the big dance, set for 2:41 PM, Kenyan time.
