Crazy Kennar pulls down skit following online backlash

Popular Kenyan comedian Crazy Kennar has pulled down a recent skit from his social media platforms following widespread backlash, particularly from feminist voices online.

The video, which was deleted on May 29, 2025, featured a comedic storyline centered around a man competing for a woman’s attention. It included a controversial cave sequence that left viewers divided, sparking a heated debate on X (formerly Twitter).

In the skit, Kennar portrays a character who fends off several men to win the affection of a woman he’s smitten with. After successfully outmaneuvering his rivals, he brings her home, where their intimacy is implied.

However, the story takes an unexpected turn when the scene abruptly cuts to Kennar’s character waking up in a cave—visibly shocked. The video ends on that puzzling note, leaving room for interpretation.

The scene’s ambiguous message drew criticism from a section of viewers, with many taking issue with the skit’s tone and content. Feminist commentators in particular led the charge, arguing that the video reinforced problematic narratives.

Kennar has not issued a public statement regarding the deletion of the video.
