A Nairobi City County employee died on the spot after falling from the sixth floor of the City Hall Annex on Saturday afternoon.
The victim, who was dressed in county uniform at the time, landed at the entrance of the building’s parking yard, where he was pronounced dead immediately.
Authorities are yet to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident, including whether it was a case of suicide, an accident, or foul play.
Central Police boss Stephen Okal confirmed the incident, saying officers had been notified shortly after it occurred.
“Investigators are there to know more. It could be a suicide, an accidental fall, someone was escaping or was pushed,” he said.
Police also noted that the man’s identity was still being verified as part of the ongoing investigations.
The body was taken to the mortuary as detectives work to piece together what led to the fatal fall.
