Kenyan actress and award-winning content creator Jackie Matubia has once again opened up about her dramatic breakup with fellow actor Blessing Lung’aho, calling him a deadbeat father and claiming she was the sole provider during their relationship.
Speaking on the G2G Podcast, Jackie gave a raw and emotional account of their life together, alleging that she footed all the bills — from rent to groceries — even after giving birth to their daughter.
In one of the most shocking revelations, Jackie recounted being asked to pay for cooking gas while she was still recovering in the hospital after delivering their child.
“I was still in hospital after giving birth, and he asked me to pay for gas. I was livid. I thought of my other daughter at home—how was she supposed to eat?” Jackie shared.
Jackie didn’t just highlight the financial imbalance but also accused Blessing of emotional neglect. She described him as “triggering” and distant, saying he would pick up their daughter and disappear into another room every time she arrived home — a behavior she found both alienating and performative.
Adding to the drama, Jackie claimed that Blessing had a child from a previous relationship, something he allegedly failed to disclose until later. She said he had assured her that he would love their child more because he was “in love this time.”
“That was a lie,” Jackie declared. “It’s one thing to love the child, it’s another to show up and be present.”
While Jackie’s revelations sparked widespread sympathy online, Blessing Lung’aho responded with a flashy video of himself at a Range Rover owners’ hangout over the weekend. The video, filled with expensive cars and luxury backdrops, rubbed fans the wrong way — many seeing it as tone-deaf and dismissive of Jackie’s serious allegations.
