Award-winning realtor Mary Diana, the founder of Modern Homes real estate agency, has passed away.
According to close associates, Diana died over the weekend while receiving treatment for serious injuries sustained after a fall. The tragic incident occurred just days after she returned to Kenya from a birthday vacation in Dubai.
Diana was a prominent figure in Kenya’s real estate sector, known for her entrepreneurial spirit and dedication to modern, client-focused property solutions. Through Modern Homes, she earned several industry accolades, including the Young Entrepreneur 2023 award at the National Business Leadership Awards and 2nd Runner-Up Realtor of the Year 2022 in the individual category at the Kenya Professional Realtors Association.
Her firm was also recognized among the Valuable Real Estate Brands at the Brands Realtors Award 2024 and named Quality and Modern Homes Realty Company of the Year 2024. Additionally, it was voted Consumers’ Popular Choice in Offering Property Solutions at the 8th International Elite Brands Awards Gala Dinner.
Most recently, Diana won the Best Real Estate Agency Award at the 2025 Super Women in Business Awards by Dependable Brands Africa.
Her untimely death has sent shockwaves through the business and real estate community, where she was admired for her leadership, innovation, and commitment to excellence.
