Popular TikTok content creator Ntazola Gloria has opened up about a terrifying health ordeal that left her hospitalized and dangerously underweight, after using counterfeit tummy reduction pills she ordered from Korea.
In a candid video shared on her TikTok account on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, Ntazola revealed the shocking reason behind her noticeable absence from recent live sessions, linking it directly to her use of the slimming product that nearly cost her life.
“There is a reason why I no longer go live on TikTok like I used to before,” she began, before recounting her experience.
Ntazola, who previously sold slimming products online, said she had grown disillusioned with the ineffectiveness of most tummy reduction items and had hoped to find something that actually worked. This motivated her to test a new pill from Korea before recommending it to her followers.
“The damage this thing did to me… I have lost weight, almost 10 kilograms in a month, and I got sick,” Ntazola confessed. “The seller told me not to use it twice in a month, and I took two in less than two weeks.”
The side effects were swift and severe. She experienced relentless diarrhoea, vomiting, extreme appetite loss, and rapid weight loss. Within days, she became bedridden and eventually required hospitalization for urgent medical care.
“This pill is making me have diarrhoea and vomit and lose so much appetite… That thing almost killed me,” she said emotionally, pointing to her visibly thinner arms.
Ntazola has now vowed not to promote or sell the pill, expressing concern over the health risks it poses, especially for people with underlying medical conditions.
“I’m not in the medical field, and if I sell it to someone who has health issues, it could be worse,” she warned.
This incident comes as the Kenya Pharmacy and Poisons Board continues to warn against buying supplements and medications from unverified online sources.
