In Kalama, Machakos County, a woman identified as Faith Mwende, 45, was found dead in her home, her body hidden under a bed.
Witnesses and police said Mwende had visible bruises on her knees and had soiled herself, indicating she may have struggled before being overpowered.
The killers are believed to have stolen three 90-kilo bags of beans from her house before fleeing. Her body has since been moved to a local mortuary for postmortem, and detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) are handling the case.
