Dar es Salaam, Tanzania — Tanzanian superstar Diamond Platnumz has made a candid revelation about his role as a father, admitting that he is aware some of the children he has raised over the years may not be biologically his.

In a recent interview covered by The Citizen, the Bongo Flava hitmaker, born Naseeb Abdul Juma Issack, said he has chosen not to dwell on paternity doubts but instead focuses on providing emotional and financial support for all of his children.

“I know I have kids, but I also know some are not my kids, but I don’t want to argue with the mother,” he stated. “So I take care of all of them.”

A Blended Family with Public Attention

Diamond Platnumz is publicly known to have fathered children with at least three women across East Africa. His high-profile relationships and co-parenting arrangements have frequently made headlines:

  • With Ugandan businesswoman and socialite Zari Hassan, Diamond shares two children: Princess Tiffah and Prince Nillan.
  • His son Dylan Abdul Naseeb is with Tanzanian model and video vixen Hamisa Mobetto.
  • Naseeb Junior, his youngest son, is with Kenyan singer and media personality Tanasha Donna.

Diamond has previously revealed that his mother, Sanura Kassim, believes there may be additional children from past relationships whom he might not be aware of.

A Statement That Resonates

The singer’s statement has sparked conversations across social media about fatherhood, responsibility, and blended families in African society. His fans and critics alike are debating the emotional maturity it takes to raise children beyond biological ties.

Psychology Today emphasizes that being a father is more about presence than biology, a notion Diamond Platnumz appears to embody.

Consistent in Character

Despite public scrutiny and several controversies, the Tanzanian music star has continued to portray himself as a family-first entertainer, often sharing photos and videos of his children on his social platforms. He also collaborates with the mothers of his children to ensure they are well taken care of.
