Nairobi, Kenya – Celebrated Kenyan gospel artist Guardian Angel has revealed that his lifestyle costs him a staggering KSh 1.5 million every month, leaving many fans stunned at the scale of his expenses.
Guardian Angel’s Expensive Lifestyle
Speaking during a recent interview, Guardian Angel, known for his hit songs such as Nadeka and Hadithi, broke down how his monthly bills cover everything from rent, staff salaries, and car maintenance, to charity contributions.
“People think being a celebrity is all glamour, but the truth is, maintaining the image and responsibilities comes with huge costs,” he said.
The gospel singer explained that his household employs several staff members, including drivers, a chef, and personal assistants, adding significantly to his monthly outgoings.
Balancing Fame and Finances
Guardian Angel, who is also married to fellow musician Esther Musila, said that while the costs are high, he is blessed to have multiple income streams from music royalties, performances, brand endorsements, and investments.
He encouraged upcoming artists to manage their finances wisely, noting that a big lifestyle can quickly become a burden if income sources are not diversified.
Kenyan Celebrities and Lavish Spending
Guardian Angel now joins a growing list of Kenyan celebrities who have spoken publicly about their spending habits. The revelation comes at a time when discussions around financial literacy in the entertainment industry are gaining momentum.
President William Ruto has also previously urged Kenyan creatives to focus on building sustainable income streams to secure their futures, echoing sentiments by financial experts that managing fame requires as much skill as achieving it.
