A man was brutally attacked and killed on Tuesday morning after an assailant raided a miraa yard in the Thaico area of Maua, Igembe.
According to police reports, the victim, identified as Mauta Kanampio Njao, was on guard duty at the miraa yard when he was ambushed. He sustained severe head injuries during the assault.
Rushed to Hospital but Pronounced Dead
Njao was quickly rushed to a nearby hospital but was declared dead on arrival. His body was later transferred to the mortuary pending a postmortem examination.
Police Hunt for Known Assailant
Authorities confirmed that the attacker has already been identified. Efforts to track him down for questioning are underway. Investigators are working to establish the motive behind the murder.
