Maua, Meru County – Police in Maua are investigating the shocking killing of 50-year-old David Kiluingu, who was attacked and left for dead at a local bodaboda stage.

According to authorities, Kiluingu was slashed by an unidentified assailant who quickly fled the scene. The injured man was rushed to a nearby hospital, but he later succumbed to his injuries.

“We are pursuing leads to track down the suspect. The motive for the attack is yet to be established,” said a police spokesperson.

Assailant Still on the Run

The attacker managed to escape moments after the incident, which occurred on August 8. Police have launched an intensive manhunt in Maua and its surrounding areas to apprehend the suspect.

Residents have been urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to law enforcement agencies. The incident has sparked concern among locals over the rising cases of violent crime in the area.

Ongoing Investigations

Authorities say the body of the deceased has been preserved at a local mortuary, awaiting an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.

Police have appealed for witnesses to come forward with any information that could help in bringing the killer to justice.
