Police in Nyamira have launched investigations after the body of a 45-year-old man was found dumped in an unused pit latrine in Gesima.
Body Discovered with Head Injuries
The deceased, identified as Benedict Sambu, was discovered with a deep cut on the head, and officers at the scene confirmed that blood stains were visible nearby, suggesting foul play.
Police Probe Underway
The body was retrieved and transferred to the mortuary pending an autopsy. Police said investigations are ongoing to establish the motive and bring those responsible to justice.
Residents of Gesima expressed shock at the killing, urging authorities to step up security in the area.
