Police have launched investigations after the body of a missing man was discovered on the banks of River Yala in the Musoli area.

Missing for a Week

The deceased, identified as Zedrick Ochonyo, 42, had been reported missing by his family a week ago. His body was discovered by locals along the riverbank, prompting police to secure the scene.

Police Investigations Underway

The body was later transferred to the mortuary for preservation and autopsy to establish the cause of death. Police have assured the family that investigations are ongoing to determine the circumstances that led to his death.

Family members, visibly shaken, appealed for justice and asked authorities to expedite the probe.

River Yala’s Troubled History

River Yala, which cuts through several counties in western Kenya, has in the past been associated with mysterious recoveries of bodies, sparking public concern and calls for tighter security and surveillance in the region.
