Former Househelps of Kawangware actor Onyi, once a household name on Citizen TV, is reportedly facing severe hardship as his condition continues to deteriorate.

From Fame to Struggles

Onyi, who previously enjoyed fame and financial stability, has struggled to secure meaningful work since leaving the popular comedy show. Sources close to him reveal that he now roams the streets of Katani, often relying on cheap liquor from friends and well-wishers to get by.

Depression and Personal Challenges

The actor is said to have fallen into depression in 2022 after abruptly losing his job. His struggles have been compounded by lack of support from his three baby mamas and the absence of savings to sustain him.

A disturbing video that surfaced last month showed Onyi speaking incoherently, with saliva dripping from his mouth. Despite a past admission to a rehabilitation center, his condition has not improved.

A Cry for Help

Fans and fellow actors have expressed concern over Onyi’s situation, urging support for the once-celebrated star. His story highlights the challenges many Kenyan entertainers face after the spotlight fades.
