Nairobi County Environment CEC Geoffrey Mosiria has sparked fresh conversations online after issuing controversial relationship advice to young women.

Speaking during a recent address, Mosiria urged ladies not to abandon men who supported them during tough times once they become successful.

‘Tears of Men Will Haunt You’

Mosiria cautioned women that neglecting loyal partners after achieving financial or social success could lead to regret later in life.

“Ukiomoka, usiache huyo chali uliteseka naye. The tears of men who sacrificed their lives for you will haunt you,” Mosiria advised.

He went on to warn that not every man who shows affection has genuine intentions:

“Utasoka uteseke na ule mwenye unaendelea hadi ujiulize, mbona niliacha ule tulianza naye. Men will admire you, like you, say they love you, but the only thing they want is to use and dump you.”

Public Reactions

The CEC’s remarks have since gone viral, sparking debate on social media, with some supporting his view while others dismissed it as outdated.

Kenyan women and men alike have weighed in, linking the comments to the broader conversation on love, loyalty, and relationships in modern society.
