Detectives in Ikutha, Kitui County have launched investigations after human skeletons were discovered on farmland in Yaana Village.

According to police, a family stumbled upon the remains while clearing bushes on their farm. Shocked by the discovery, they immediately alerted authorities.

Skeleton Found Under Tree

Police officers who visited the scene said the body appeared to have been lying under a tree for months. The remains are suspected to have been partly consumed by vultures and wild dogs in the area.

Recovered body parts included the skull, ribs, spine, and pelvic bone.

Remains Taken to Mortuary

The remains were transferred to Mutomo Level Four Hospital mortuary, where a postmortem examination will be conducted to establish the cause of death and help with identification.

Authorities have urged residents to remain calm as investigations continue.
