Kenyan celebrities Jackie Matubia, DJ Pierra Makena, and Eric Omondi’s ex, Lynne Njihia, stirred up a heated online conversation after opening up about their experiences with adult toys during an episode of their reality show, Mommy Club NBO.

Pierra Makena: “I’m Open-Minded”

Single mother and renowned entertainer DJ Pierra Makena revealed she was introduced to the toys by former Tahidi High actress Jackie Matubia.

“Jackie told me about it and said I should try it. I stayed a bit but I remember I called you in the morning and told you that you were right,” she said.

Makena added that while she prefers intimacy with a partner, the toys offer an alternative:

“I am single and would not like to be running around. So as I sit and think about being with that man, it is okay to have a helper.”

Lynne Njihia: “A Different Type of Pleasure”

Comedian Eric Omondi’s ex Lynne Njihia also shared her perspective, explaining:

“It feels like a different type of pleasure. I didn’t cry but it made my shoulders tingle.”

Meanwhile, Pierra added that adult toys are effective but admitted physical touch remains her preference:

“I enjoy the man but with this one, I get there easily and in seconds.”

Mommy Club NBO and Its Impact

The candid discussion featured on Mommy Club NBO, the Kenyan adaptation of the hit reality series from South Africa and Tanzania. The show follows five affluent mothers in Nairobi — Jackie Matubia, Pierra Makena, Lynne Njihia, Carey Priscilla, and Ofentse Tsipa — exploring themes of parenting, ambition, glamour, and personal life choices.

The episode has since sparked a social media storm, with Kenyans divided on whether such conversations empower women or set a controversial example.
