Celebrated journalist Loise Wangui has officially announced her exit from NTV after serving at Nation Media Group (NMG) for at least 10 years.

Her departure marks yet another major shake-up at the station, coming just a week after veteran host Amina Abdi Rabar announced her resignation from #TheTrend after nearly eight years on air.

A decade of service

Wangui, who built her career as one of NTV’s most respected journalists, confirmed the news on her social media platforms, expressing gratitude to her colleagues, mentors, and viewers for their support throughout her career.

“NTV has been more than just a workplace for me. It has been a family. I’m thankful for the opportunities and experiences over the past decade,” she wrote.

Nation Media exits raise questions

Her exit, alongside that of Amina Abdi, has sparked conversations online about the future of NTV’s talent pool and what could be driving high-profile resignations at the broadcaster.

Nation Media Group, one of Kenya’s oldest media houses, has in recent years faced growing competition from digital platforms and shifting audience preferences.
