President William Ruto added a touch of high-end fashion to his Ethiopian tour, where he attended the launch of the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD). The Head of State was seen in a smart casual outfit, complete with a pair of designer sunglasses that caught the attention of many.
Ruto’s Cartier Sunglasses Steal the Show
In photos shared on his official social media pages, Ruto wore Cartier Signature CT0330S sunglasses.
The luxury eyewear, retailing between $1,200 (Sh154,800) and $1,400 (Sh180,600), features shiny silver frames with black accents and grey lenses, combining style and comfort while maintaining a luxurious appeal.

A History of Luxury Fashion
This is not the first time Ruto’s fashion choices have stirred conversation.
- In July, he was spotted at CHAN Kenya vs Zambia match wearing Ferragamo Gancini suede low-top sneakers worth about $980 (Sh126,420).
- Weeks earlier, he was photographed in the Maasai Mara donning a rare antique Rolex Daytona estimated at over Sh6 million.
