Nairobi, Kenya – October 5, 2025 – Popular radio presenter Mwende Macharia has officially joined Radio Jambo, a move that marks her return to the airwaves over a year after she resigned from Standard Group’s Radio Maisha.

The lively media personality will debut her new night show on Radio Jambo starting Monday, October 6, 2025, according to an announcement by Radio Africa Group.

Mwende, known for her charismatic on-air style and strong connection with listeners, brings over a decade of experience in Swahili entertainment radio. Her move to Radio Jambo has sparked excitement among fans who have missed her voice since her departure from Radio Maisha in mid-2024.

A New Chapter in Her Career

At Radio Maisha, Mwende hosted the popular show Konnect, where she built a loyal following for her bold takes on relationships, celebrity gossip, and motivational stories.

Her new slot on Radio Jambo is expected to carry a mix of music, lifestyle discussions, and interactive audience segments, aligning with the station’s popular Swahili entertainment format.

Radio Jambo is part of Radio Africa Group, which also owns Classic 105, Kiss FM, and The Star Newspaper — all leading platforms in Kenya’s media landscape.
