Police in Kiambu County are investigating the mysterious death of a middle-aged man who was found dead inside a parked car at a petrol station in Ruaka on Monday night.

Witnesses reported that the man had driven a black Honda with registration number KC* 77* to the Total Energies petrol station mid-morning, where it remained parked for the rest of the day.

By around 9:20 PM, concerned members of the public noticed that the vehicle was still at the same spot with its occupant motionless on the driver’s seat.

Police Called to the Scene

Officers from Gigiri Police Station were alerted and rushed to the scene, where they confirmed that the man was unresponsive and had died inside the car.

The police have since secured the vehicle and opened an investigation to determine the cause of death.

Family Notified, Cause of Death Under Probe

According to authorities, the deceased’s family was identified and informed of the incident shortly after officers arrived.

The body was taken to the mortuary for post-mortem examination as detectives continue to probe whether foul play, health complications, or other factors may have been involved.
