Detectives have launched investigations into the murder of a man whose body was discovered beside Gachi River in the Kenol area of Murang’a County.

According to police, the body was found on Monday afternoon, November 24, 2025, long after the murder is believed to have occurred. The motive of the killing remains unclear.

Officers said the victim had severe head injuries and was lying in a pool of blood, with his hands tied behind his back. His head appeared disfigured, consistent with being struck using a blunt object.

The body was moved to the mortuary awaiting identification, a postmortem, and further forensic analysis as investigations continue.
