Police in South B are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a 10-year-old boy who fell from the fourth floor of a residential apartment.
The incident occurred on the evening of February 24, 2026, according to police and family members. The boy was a Grade Six pupil at Our Lady of Mercy School.
CCTV Footage Under Review
Preliminary investigations indicate that security footage from the apartment shows the boy running upstairs before jumping from the fourth floor and landing on the ground level.
He was rushed to a nearby hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival. Police said he sustained severe head injuries.
Authorities stated they suspect the boy died by suicide, though the motive remains unclear. Investigations are ongoing to establish the events leading up to the incident.
The body has been moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy.
