Police in Lungalunga are investigating the killing of a 72-year-old man amid a rising trend of attacks on the elderly over land disputes.

The deceased, identified as Ndoro Mwaba Said, was found in his bed in a pool of blood with deep cuts on his head and neck. Authorities confirmed that the body has been moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy, while investigations into the suspected targeted killing continue.

Police reports indicate that gangs operating in the area are believed to be targeting properties, particularly land, contributing to the ongoing attacks against elderly residents. Authorities have urged communities to remain vigilant as investigations progress.
