Music producer Samuel Muraya, popularly known as DJ Mo, is recovering after being attacked by suspected robbers near Kenol in Murang’a County, an incident that left him injured.

The attack was revealed on Friday by his wife, gospel singer and media personality Linet Munyali, who thanked God for sparing her husband’s life in a heartfelt social media post.

According to Size 8, the DJ was assaulted by thieves armed with pangas while travelling through the Kenol area. She wrote:

“The devil is a liar! Our God reigns supreme! Jesus Christ is Lord. Today I post to give God glory for safeguarding my husband’s life. Around Kenol, thieves attacked him with a panga and took his phone, but he is alive. God, you are Jehovah Sabaoth, thank you for preserving life.”

Size 8 also acknowledged the efforts of bystanders who helped rescue DJ Mo during the attack, naming Tash, Kevo, and Ben for their intervention.

Images shared online showed DJ Mo with what appeared to be a deep cut on his upper arm, likely sustained during the assault. He later confirmed the incident in a brief message to his followers, stating:

“Thank you, fam. Am better, but their day is coming soon.”

The attack occurred along a busy stretch of road in Kenol that connects major highways between Nairobi and central Kenya.

Fans and fellow gospel artists quickly responded with messages wishing DJ Mo a speedy recovery. Known for his influential work in gospel entertainment and media, DJ Mo has built a strong following over the years, with many supporters praising his resilience and offering prayers for his wellbeing.
