New developments have emerged in the death of Consolata Githinji, widely known as Connie, after a postmortem report revealed she sustained multiple serious injuries before her fatal fall from a sixth-floor Airbnb in Kileleshwa.
According to investigators, the autopsy showed that Githinji had a broken left hand and both legs prior to the fall, as well as head abrasions, blunt force trauma to the back, and a collapsed lung. These injuries are said to be inconsistent with a simple fall, raising strong suspicion that she was assaulted inside the apartment before being pushed or falling.
The incident, which occurred on April 26, 2026, had initially been reported as a suicide after she reportedly fell from the balcony during the night. However, the latest medical findings have effectively ruled out suicide, prompting authorities to reclassify the case as a murder investigation.
The prime suspect, who had earlier claimed that Githinji jumped, is currently being held at Kilimani Police Station as detectives continue to piece together the events leading to her death.
The case has drawn significant public attention, with many calling for justice as investigators intensify efforts to establish the full circumstances surrounding the fatal incident.
