Detectives in Kolenyo, Kisumu County, have launched investigations into the fatal stabbing of a 26-year-old teacher during a bar altercation.
The victim, identified as Laban Odero, was a teacher at Anyanga Primary School.
Bar Dispute Turns Deadly
According to police and witness accounts, Odero had been at a local bar with another individual believed to be known to him when a disagreement broke out on April 25.
During the confrontation, the suspect allegedly armed himself with a knife and stabbed the teacher in the chest.
Victim Pronounced Dead
Odero was rushed to a nearby hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival. Police confirmed that he sustained a fatal stab wound to the chest.
His body has since been moved to the mortuary, where it awaits a postmortem examination.
Suspect on the Run
Authorities say the attacker fled the scene immediately after the incident. A manhunt has been launched as police intensify efforts to track down the suspect.
Investigators are working to establish the exact cause of the disagreement and the motive behind the fatal attack.
