Police in Embakasi Sub-County have arrested three suspects linked to an attempted break-in at the Viraj Complex Godowns.

Swift Police Response

According to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), the suspects had allegedly planned to raid Godown Number 22 and escape quickly with stolen goods.

However, their plan was foiled after a vigilant security guard noticed suspicious movements and alerted authorities.

Suspects Arrested

Officers responding to the alert apprehended three individuals identified as:

  • Stephen Mwangi
  • Peter Okumu
  • Kennedy Wanyingi

Vehicle Recovered

At the scene, police recovered a white Mitsubishi Canter, believed to have been prepared for transporting the stolen goods.

Investigators noted that both the front and rear number plates had been concealed using a polythene bag, suggesting an attempt to evade identification.

The vehicle has since been towed to a police station as key evidence.

Ongoing Investigations

The suspects are currently in custody undergoing processing ahead of their arraignment in court.
