Legendary Kenyan hip-hop group Camp Mulla is officially reuniting for a one-night-only performance at the upcoming Kulture Experience, marking their first appearance together in more than a decade.
The announcement has sparked excitement among fans who grew up listening to the group’s chart-topping hits during the early 2010s.
“Before going viral existed… They had already created a movement. Camp Mulla soundtracked an era with infectious hooks, youthful swagger and songs that instantly take us back. Experience it again at KULTURE,” read part of the official announcement.
The highly anticipated reunion comes 13 years after the group disbanded in 2013 as members pursued solo careers, university studies and opportunities abroad.
At the time, their former label Sub Sahara Entertainment confirmed that Miss Karun had exited the group to join university in the United States while focusing on solo music projects. Former member Thee MC Africa, previously known as The Taio Tripper, also launched his own solo career.
Camp Mulla remains one of Kenya’s most influential urban music groups, credited with shaping modern Kenyan hip-hop and pop culture through hits that defined an entire generation.
Their reunion performance is expected to be one of the biggest highlights at the Kulture Experience event, which will celebrate Kenya’s entertainment industry and feature top music acts from across the country.
