Democratic Change Party has dispatched a delegation to London ahead of an upcoming visit by party leader Rigathi Gachagua aimed at engaging Kenyans living in the United Kingdom.

According to Gachagua, the advance team includes John Methu, Kanini Kega and Samidoh.

The delegation is expected to coordinate and organise engagements between the DCP leadership and members of the Kenyan diaspora community in the UK ahead of Gachagua’s planned visit.

The party said the trip is part of a wider strategy to strengthen relations with Kenyans living abroad and gather their views as it prepares for the August 10, 2027 General Election.

DCP noted that diaspora engagement forms a key part of its political approach, arguing that input from Kenyans abroad will help shape the party’s policies and electoral agenda.

The inclusion of Samidoh in the delegation has also drawn attention after the Mugithi singer recently declared interest in elective politics ahead of the 2027 elections.

The planned UK engagements come as political parties intensify mobilisation efforts locally and internationally in preparation for the next general election cycle.
