Content creator and self-proclaimed millionaire Onyango Tate has responded to online criticism suggesting that his girlfriend is only with him because of his money.

Speaking during an interview on Thursday, May 7, 2026, Onyango said he has no problem with financial motivation in relationships as long as there is loyalty and mutual understanding between partners.

“My girl is with me because of money. I’m okay with that,” he said.

The influencer argued that financial provision is a key responsibility for men in relationships and should not be viewed as controversial.

According to Onyango, a man’s role is fundamentally tied to providing stability and support.

“What is the work of a man? To provide,” he stated.

He further described himself as a “problem solver” in relationships, saying he believes men should shoulder financial responsibility within the home.

At the same time, Onyango said he expects loyalty, respect and traditional gender roles from his partner in return.

“As long as she’s loyal to me, she cooks for me, and she’s submissive, then I’m okay,” he added.

The content creator also addressed claims circulating online that he had harassed his girlfriend in a viral social media video.

Rejecting the allegations, Onyango dismissed critics questioning his behaviour and argued that people were misinterpreting the clip.

“Who cares what broke people think?” he said.

His remarks have since sparked mixed reactions online, with some social media users defending his views on provision and relationships while others criticised his comments on submission and financial dependency.
