Friends, family, and loved ones gathered in grief to bid farewell to Alice Riang’a, the Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University of Science and Technology student who was found murdered in Bondo.

Body Found in Forest Days After Disappearance

Alice’s body was reportedly discovered by a group of women collecting firewood inside Bar Kowino Forest, four days after she went missing.

The tragic incident shocked students, residents, and the wider public, sparking calls for justice over her death.

Autopsy Revealed Cause of Death

According to autopsy findings, the second-year Bachelor of Education Science student died from blunt force trauma to the head.

Investigations into the circumstances surrounding her death are still ongoing.

Emotional Burial Held in Kisii County

Alice was laid to rest in an emotional burial ceremony held in Itibo, Suneka, in Kisii County.

Mourners described her as a promising young woman whose life was cut short in a painful and tragic manner.

Boyfriend Shares Heartbreaking Tribute

Her boyfriend, identified as Salvoguy, shared an emotional message online alongside a photo taken during the body viewing ceremony.

“Rest in power 💔,” he wrote.

The touching tribute drew reactions from Kenyans online, many expressing sorrow and condolences to the family.

Calls for Justice Continue

The killing has renewed conversations around the safety of university students and violence against women, with many urging authorities to speed up investigations and ensure those responsible are brought to justice.
