Police in Kiambu County have launched investigations into the death of a 33-year-old mechanic whose body was discovered inside a sewage line in the Banana-Victoria area.
According to police reports, the incident was reported on Friday morning after a relative informed authorities that his son, identified as Antony Kuria, had been found lying motionless inside a sewage trench.
Officers who visited the scene confirmed the discovery of the body within the sewage line in Banana-Victoria.
Preliminary investigations indicate that Antony worked as a mechanic in the area and had last been seen on Thursday morning while heading to work.
Crime scene investigators from Kiambu later processed the scene before the body was moved to Karura SDA Hospital mortuary for preservation and postmortem examination.
Police noted that the deceased had visible head injuries, raising suspicions of possible foul play.
Authorities said investigations into the circumstances surrounding the death are ongoing.
