Police in Uasin Gishu County have arrested a 71-year-old man in connection with the mysterious death of his wife in the Chepkoiyo area of Turbo Subcounty.

According to police reports, the incident occurred on Friday night at around 10:30 p.m. after the woman’s body was discovered inside her house.

Officers who responded to the scene found the body of 69-year-old Susan Kemboi lying on the floor inside the residence.

Detectives noted the presence of blood stains beneath the bed and on the floor opposite the bed, although the deceased reportedly had no visible physical injuries.

Police subsequently arrested the woman’s husband, who is currently being held for questioning as investigations continue.

Authorities said the arrest was also intended to guarantee his safety while detectives establish the circumstances surrounding the death.

Crime scene officers processed the scene before the body was moved to Living Room Mortuary pending a postmortem examination.

Police said investigations into the incident remain ongoing.
