Police have launched a manhunt for a woman suspected of setting her former boyfriend’s house on fire at the GSU Camp in Embakasi B, Nairobi, after allegedly finding him in the company of two other women.
The incident is reported to have occurred at around 2:00 a.m. following a heated argument between the two. According to preliminary reports, the officer escorted the two female visitors out of the camp after the confrontation.
While he was still at the camp’s entrance, fellow officers alerted him that his iron-sheet house had been set ablaze.
Colleagues responded swiftly and managed to extinguish the fire before it spread to neighbouring houses, preventing a larger disaster.
However, property estimated to be worth approximately KSh 200,000 was destroyed in the blaze.
Police have since launched investigations into the incident and are pursuing the woman, who remains at large.
