A visit to see her detained boyfriend at a Nairobi police station ended in the Buruburu Police Station arrest of a 26-year-old woman after police allegedly found rolls of bhang concealed inside a loaf of bread.

According to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), the woman had gone to the station to visit her boyfriend.

She reportedly asked officers at the report office to deliver the loaf of bread to him.

However, the visit took an unexpected turn after officers became suspicious of the package.

Woman Visits Detained Boyfriend

The woman reportedly arrived at Buruburu Police Station intending to see her boyfriend, who was in police custody.

During the visit, she allegedly carried a loaf of bread for him.

According to the DCI, she handed the bread to officers at the report office and asked them to deliver it to the detained man.

At first, the request appeared routine.

However, officers reportedly noticed something unusual about the package.

Visit Takes Unexpected Turn

The situation changed when police officers noticed that the bread package had already been opened.

The observation reportedly raised suspicion among the officers.

Instead of handing the package directly to the detainee, officers decided to examine its contents.

The search would allegedly reveal items that led to the woman’s arrest.
