Police in Embu are investigating the death of a woman who died at home under mysterious circumstances in what is suspected to be a case of domestic violence.
Nancy Njeri was found dead at Kawanjara village on her bed with injuries on her head and knees. Her husband has denied any wrongdoing.
According to her husband, he left his wife at a local pub and went home. He further claimed that his wife came back home with injuries.
He then added that he went to sleep and found his wife had died during the night. He then informed his mother-in-law about the incident before reporting the matter to the police.
The body of the deceased is currently at Tenri Ena Funeral Home as investigations continue.
