A woman who had installed a CCTV camera in her house to monitor her son was shocked after catching her house help live fondling her two-year-old boy’s private parts.

The woman was checking on her son through a CCTV camera which she had installed in her house and connected to her phone when she saw her house help Joyce Mwangi fondling her son’s private parts and buttocks unaware that she was being watched.

She informed a relative who rushed to the house to intervene before she took a vehicle home. The matter was reported at the Embakasi Police Station on January 16.

Officers rushed to the house located in Soweto, Nairobi and immediately placed under arrest Joyce Mwangi whom they have presented at the Makadara Law courts this morning.

The suspect denied the charges before Senior Resident Magistrate Mercy Malingu and pleaded for lenient bail and bond terms claiming she is a mother of two children who depend on her.

She was released on a bond of Sh500, 000 without an option of a cash bail. The case will be mentioned on February 15 before hearing starts on March 1 this year.
