An former Machako’s senatorial seat aspirant who threatened Machakos governor Wavinya Ndeti in a WhatsApp Group has found himself in trouble.

Donald Mwenda Nzau who also goes by the name Password Mwenda is said to have threatened the governor that he will reveal all the young men she has been sleeping with.

According to a police charge sheet, the politician who is a critic of governor Ndeti posted the threatening message inside the ‘Ukambani Politics’ WhatsApp group towards the end of December last year.

“Wavinya needs us to go personal. I will bring a list of all the young men she has been sleeping with for the last 15 years,” posted Nzau.

“Mark, young men. She is treading on dangerous grounds,” he threatened.

Governor Ndeti who is also a member of the group reported the matter at the Machakos Police Station on December 20 last year. Her complaint was registered under OB Number 54/20/12/2022.

Mwendwa was arrested on Monday by DCI Officers in Mombasa and transported to Machakos. He was arraigned before Machakos Principal Magistrate Mary Otindo on Wednesday.

Appearing in the dock donning a white T-shirt, a pair of maroon trousers and a scarf with the national flag colours, Mwendwa was charged with publication of false information contrary to Section 23 of the Computer Misuse and Cyber crime Act 2018.

The accused who was represented by Lawyer Evans Muli denied the charges and was released on a bond of Sh200,000 or Sh50,000 cash bail.
