A young Kenyan entrepreneur has made quite a splash by capitalizing on a unique business opportunity stemming from President William Ruto’s recent stern warning to sugar cartels.

During his visit to Western Kenya, President Ruto’s words were emphatic as he issued a stark ultimatum to the cartels, presenting them with three options: leave the country, face incarceration, or “go to heaven.”

In a clever move, a young man known as @itrendstores on TikTok has transformed the President’s words into a profitable venture. He’s achieved this by printing them on t-shirts, which he’s selling for KSh 1,000 each.

These t-shirts prominently feature the phrase, “Mambo ni Matatu, uhame 254, uende jela, usafiri” in bold black lettering set within a blue and yellow triangle. The design is complemented by a cartoon image of President Ruto donning a turban.
